Midsize pickups

Ranger, Colorado, Canyon, Tacoma, Frontier, Ridgeline, Gladiator, and R1T.

• Ford Ranger

  Ford's midsize pickup. It was out of the U.S. lineup for 2012 through 2018, so those years have no pages.

• Chevrolet Colorado

  Chevrolet's midsize pickup. It left the U.S. market for 2013 and 2014. Since 2023 every Colorado uses the same 2.7L turbo, and trim plus trailering package sets the rating.

• GMC Canyon

  GMC's midsize pickup, off the U.S. market in 2013 and 2014. It shares a platform with the Colorado; it does not automatically share a towing cell.

• Toyota Tacoma

  Toyota's midsize pickup. The 2024 generation replaced the V6 with a turbo four. i-FORCE and i-FORCE MAX hybrid ratings differ.

• Nissan Frontier

  Nissan's midsize pickup. King Cab and Crew Cab maxima are different, which is why a single Frontier number is not specific enough.

• Honda Ridgeline

  Honda's unibody pickup. There was no U.S. Ridgeline for 2015 or 2016. Later trucks rate 5,000 pounds when the hitch kit is fitted, which is a different claim from the first generation.

• Jeep Gladiator

  Jeep's midsize pickup. The 7,700-pound rating requires the Max Tow Package and its 4.10 axle, not simply any Gladiator.

• Rivian R1T

  Rivian's electric pickup. Battery and motor configuration change both range and the published tow rating.
