A published maximum applies only to the configuration the manufacturer names, and your truck’s actual limits depend on its exact equipment, its labels and how it is loaded.

Before towing, always confirm the ratings for your vehicle with its door-jamb and hitch labels, its owner’s manual, and the manufacturer. Where this site and those differ, the vehicle’s labels and the manufacturer are correct.
