Cabs and beds
Regular, extended, and crew cabs change seats, doors, wheelbase, and curb weight. Bed length changes what fits and which chart column you are in.
Regular cab is a single row. Extended cabs (SuperCab, Double Cab, Access Cab, Quad Cab, and the rest of the brand names) add a short second row. Crew cabs add full rear doors and a usable second row. More cab usually means more curb weight.
Beds are short, standard, or long, and the inches differ by brand. A Ford 5.5-foot, 6.5-foot, and 8-foot box are not the same as a Chevrolet short and standard bed. Bed capacity is volume and weight. Cubic feet come from length, floor width, width between the wheel wells, and depth. Pounds come out of payload. A bed can be full and legal, or half empty and over the rear axle.
